public access and hunting

or generally, in the appropriate deer herd management
plan

the project have reasonable potential to provide
information that will affect land use or management
programs
-Does the information gathered have statewide
implications
-Are there cost share dollars available from other
sources (In-kind; currently funded; applied for)
-Is there a high probability of success
-Does the project address the limiting factors
for the herd(s)
-Does the project have general appeal/application
with a high visibility and provide recognition
for CDA
EQUIPMENT REQUESTS
-Does
the purchase and use of this equipment significantly
increase research or habitat potential in a given
area
-Does this equipment have statewide use
-Are there cost share dollars available from other
sources (currently funded; applied for; in-kind)
What is the expected useful life of the equipment
-Does the use of this equipment address the limiting
factors for the herd(s)
PUBLIC EDUCATION/OUTREACH
-Does
the project have general appeal/application
-Are there cost share dollars available from other
sources (currently funded; in-kind; applied for)
-Will the project have high visibility and provide
recognition for the CDA
-Will the project/information encourage and promote
public awareness of California Deer issues
